A New Vision of Volksstaat (People’s State) Must Replace the 20th Century Jaundice of Judenstaat (Jewish State) and Muslim Kingdoms in the Middle East for the next 100 years
Clearly, the current vision of The Middle East is an abject failure. It is an utter disaster and a disgrace to everyone man, woman, and child in the whole of the Middle East including but not limited to Jews, Christians, and Muslims. This failure was created by 20th-century jaundiced men whose vision was myopic. It just does NOT work in our newly globalized connected century.
As we all know, Der Judenstaat was created in the late 1890s by an Austrian man in Vienna named Theodore Herzl who thought he was doing the right thing by creating a vision of a “Jewish State” for Europeans who endured over 500 years of strife in Europe. However, it was hijacked by the victors of World War I and the use of dirty oil to energize the industrial revolution. But those days are over now. We are in the age of AI and alternative energy. We are in the age of global connection. Continuing that crusty vision is simply foolish because we just don’t live in that world anymore. We need better now!
I mean, the Middle East has long been seen as a region rife with conflict, sectarianism, and foreign interventions. Enough is enough! It’s not working! Time to end this nonsense!
Instead, imagine a radically different future: a Middle East Union (MEU), styled after the European Union, where every citizen, regardless of color, race, or creed, can live in freedom, enjoying one citizenship, one passport, and full freedom to travel, work, live, and worship. This bold vision will pave the way for economic prosperity, social harmony, and regional stability, and must replace the outdated, divisive vision that Western powers imposed on the Middle East after 1917.
Here are the top 10 reasons why a Middle East Union is a “Big Think” vision whose time has come.
1. A Unified Population of Over 200 Million People
The Middle East consists of around 18 countries, with a combined population of over 220 million people, covering Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This union would create a bloc with a population similar to the European Union (EU), which boasts around 450 million citizens. With such a large, youthful population (median age in the region is around 24), the MEU would be poised to become an economic powerhouse, driven by human capital, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
2. A Combined GDP Exceeding $2 Trillion
The combined Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the proposed Middle East Union could exceed $2 trillion. With Saudi Arabia and the UAE boasting strong oil-based economies and Israel contributing cutting-edge technology and innovation, the union would leverage the strengths of each country. Iraq’s vast natural resources, Lebanon’s dynamic service economy, and Palestine’s budding tech and service sectors could drive sustainable economic growth. This new economic bloc would have the potential to compete globally, benefiting from intra-regional trade and investments, much like the European Union.
3. Economic Leverage on the World Stage
A unified Middle East Union would wield significant economic leverage. The region is already a global hub for energy resources, controlling roughly 48% of the world’s oil reserves and 43% of natural gas reserves. As a single entity, the MEU could negotiate better trade deals and secure foreign investments by offering access to a unified, stable, and secure market. Instead of being seen as fragmented and risky, the region would be perceived as an attractive partner for global powers such as the U.S., China, and the EU.
4. Freedom of Movement: Travel, Work, and Live Across Borders
One of the key features of the European Union is the free movement of people across borders. In the Middle East, citizens are often limited by rigid national borders, visas, and work restrictions. A Middle East Union could offer its citizens the right to travel, live, and work freely across all member states. This would increase economic opportunity, foster innovation, and strengthen cross-cultural ties. Imagine a Palestinian working in Dubai, a Saudi student studying in Israel, or a Lebanese entrepreneur expanding their business in Jordan without needing to navigate bureaucratic hurdles.
5. A Unified Passport: One Citizenship for All
With one citizenship and one passport, the Middle East Union could ensure that every individual, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or national origin, is treated equally. The current systems of borders, checkpoints, and restricted mobility create division and deepen sectarianism. A single passport would promote a sense of unity and shared identity, much like the EU passport has done for Europeans. This would also send a strong message to the world that the Middle East is committed to peace, inclusion, and human rights.
6. Economic Liberty and Diversification Beyond Oil
The oil-based economies of the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and the UAE, have fueled growth but are increasingly unsustainable in a world moving toward renewable energy. A Middle East Union could create an environment where member states work together to diversify their economies, shifting toward technology, green energy, manufacturing, and services. Israel’s tech sector, Lebanon’s financial services, and the UAE’s tourism industry could be expanded across the region, driving innovation and reducing dependency on oil revenues.
7. Regional Stability Through Economic Integration
Economic integration has been one of the most effective tools in preventing conflict, as demonstrated by the European Union. Countries that trade and invest in each other are less likely to go to war. A Middle East Union would foster economic interdependence, creating incentives for peaceful cooperation rather than competition and conflict. Shared infrastructure projects, cross-border investments, and joint ventures would create bonds between member states that make war far less likely.
8. Enhanced Diplomatic Power and Regional Security
The current patchwork of alliances, hostilities, and interventions by foreign powers has left the Middle East vulnerable to exploitation. A unified Middle East Union would have the diplomatic weight to negotiate as a single bloc, much like the EU does with the U.S., China, and Russia. It could also address security concerns by forming a regional defense force to counter threats while ensuring that security decisions are made collectively rather than at the behest of foreign powers.
9. Religious and Cultural Harmony
The Middle East is the birthplace of three of the world’s major religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. However, sectarian divisions have fueled much of the region’s conflict. A Middle East Union could promote religious freedom and tolerance by guaranteeing every citizen the right to worship freely, without fear of persecution. This would also encourage intercultural exchange, allowing the diverse communities within the Middle East—Arabs, Kurds, Jews, and others—to live together peacefully, underpinned by shared values of liberty and respect.
10. A Vision Beyond the 20th-Century Western Colonial Legacy
Since the Sykes-Picot Agreement of 1916 and the Balfour Declaration of 1917, the Middle East has been shaped by Western powers drawing arbitrary borders and imposing political systems that have not served the people. This legacy of colonialism and division has led to decades of instability and conflict. A Middle East Union would be a rejection of that failed vision, offering a new, self-determined future for the region. Instead of being pawns in global power games, the people of the Middle East would take control of their own destiny, creating a future based on unity, freedom, and shared prosperity.
Conclusion: A Bold Vision for the Future
The Middle East Union is a bold vision that could transform one of the most complex regions of the world. By creating a framework for economic integration, social harmony, and shared security, this union would replace the failed 20th-century Western-led order with one that truly serves the interests of the region’s people. The potential is vast—economic growth, global influence, regional peace, and, most importantly, freedom for all citizens. In an age where globalization demands cooperation, a unified Middle East could not only survive but thrive on the world stage.
BIG THINK SOLUTION!!!!Â
A GLOBAL GOFUNDME FOR PEACE!
The key to getting the USA to stop funding Israeli genocide and ethnic cleansing is to COMPETE. Start bribing (lobby) the US Congress, Presidency, and Supreme Court more than ZIONISTS (AIPAC) do.
When they bribe (lobby) a Congressman for $ 1,000,000. We bribe (lobby) them with $ 1,500,000 on the condition they refund the ZIONIST bribe (lobby). Rinse and Repeat for all Members of the US Congress, Presidency, and Supreme Court!
- START A GOFUNDME ACCOUNT NOW! Make it clear that all the money will be used to bribe (lobby) the US Government, and watch how fast the US changes its mind!
- RAISE $$ BILLIONS NOW! We can easily outraise AIPAC if every human being gives just $ 1.00 a month. What if just 500 million of us gave $ 5.00 a month, that’s $ 2.5 Billion a month! We just need to use all social media to reach out to every human being. They will join TEAM PEOPLE with us!
- BAN AIPAC AND LOBBYING THE U.S. GOVERNMENT:Â Once Congress, the Presidency, and the Supreme Court are under OUR control, then we outlaw AIPAC as a foreign agent. And then outlaw corporate and individual bribing of the US Government and return it back to the voters so that the US can once again become a democracy of the people and for the people
- CREATE MIDDLE EAST UNION for all the people in Middle East! Then, with the USA no longer funding the ruining the Middle East, together we create the MIDDLE EAST UNION for every Jew, Christian, Muslim, and any other faith or pagan so that there will be unity for all and no more of this forced division and perpetual wars.
THE KEY IS $$$$$. We can put an end to this thing within 1 year! No more Israeli / USA aggression against the people of the Middle East! Instead, the US will start singing the praises of the Middle Eastern peoples. Then we can emerge with a new world for the people of the Middle East that puts them first, always; empowering with a chance to be a solid block for the world. Yes, we build a new Middle East, a democratic, free Middle East for everyone!
